Hypothyroidism, which is when the thyroid is under-productive, and does not produce enough thyroid hormones, can include the following symptoms:
- Tiredness
- Cold intolerance
- Weight gain
- Hair loss
- Eye swelling
- Slow heart rate
- Shortness of breath
- Constipation
- Menstrual irregularity
- High blood pressure
- Carpal tunnel
Usually when someone is experiencing an under-productive thyroid, they have a hard time managing weight and do not have much energy most of the time. We’re not producing enough cell fuel in this state so it’s kind of like we’re running out of gas and stalling out all day.
Hypothyroid is commonly caused by Hashimoto’s. Read more about Hashimoto’s here whyiodine.com/hashimotos
